Risks Involved with Changing to Biological Systems

If you have been using chemical inputs in your farm, you can’t just swap over to biological system instantly, so it’s a case of winning the old system. You can reduce your risks when changing over to biological farming by:

  • Reducing the use of chemicals
  • Buffering chemicals to reduce the amount used
  • Keeping soil coverage to keep in moisture
  • Keeping soil coverage to protect soil life
  • Minimising tillage
  • Assessing the best time to apply nutrients
