Farm visit with Joe Kovacek at Western Sydney University farm
June 28 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Do you want to learn from another farmer about: building soil health, rotational strip grazing, multi-species pastures, cover cropping, holistic management (regenerative agriculture)
The Greater Sydney Small Farms Network is organising this farm visit as an opportunity for any farmer or aspiring farmer in the Greater Sydney region to learn about regenerative grazing practices.
Joe Kovacek runs a commercial beef cattle and cattle breeding operation for the Western Sydney University farm. As part of his operation, he implements the principles of regenerative farming. Come and join other farmers to learn about how Joe runs his operation.
This is an informal event, where you will get an opportunity to talk to Joe and ask him questions. This farm visit is also an opportunity to network with other farmers.
Registration is essential as numbers will be capped at 25 people. Please note that if you register and aren’t able to attend on the day, please notify Linda Dedovic via email: [email protected] or mobile 0438 197 432.
Parking instructions: Please park on the grass verge on Beef Cattle Road, near shearing shed A11. There is no cost to park here. Do not park inside the gates where the sheds are located. There will be a Local Land Services banner to help you identify the location.
N.B. When you register, I will email you a copy of the map with the location of the meeting point.
This project is supported by Greater Sydney Local Land Services through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
