April Biological Farming Roundtable
April 26, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Worm Leachate; Dryland Sheep Production; Self-Sustainable; Closed System Farming.
WHY? The Biological Farming Roundtable is to facilitate discussion on biological farming, assisting farmers to explore innovative, low input, regenerative farming systems. The group supports each other’s journey in an emerging regenerative agricultural paradigm where dominant conventional views can often be a barrier to change and success.
Who’s Sharing? Jeff, his wife Jenny, and son Jarrod Andrews operate a 1000 Ha dryland sheep property in Blighty, NSW. Using worm leachate and biological inputs they turn off 6500 lambs per year. Their fodder crops including corn are all fed back through their sheep promoting a closed system of nutrient and microbial cycling.
Come and learn how, by supporting the soils natural nutrient cycling processes, consistent profit margins in challenging conditions are achievable.
