April 30, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Have you ever wanted to create a whole farm plan which takes into account your natural resource base, existing infrastructure, agricultural enterprises, social and personal situation? A plan which can help you to plot a course towards reaching your short and long term property goals?
This 2 day workshop (day 1 is 30 April, day 2 is 21 May) is an opportunity to step back and focus on your whole property, think about your goals and then plan how you’re going to get there!
Proudly supported by The National Landcare Programme and the ACT Government and presented by local rural educator and farmer Alison Elvin of NaturalCapital Pty Ltd. Alison’s work with rural communities integrates sustainable production strategies with landscape rehabilitation and is provided in a practical and meaningful way.
Day one of the workshop, on 30 April, will provide you with the skills and knowledge to map/ document your natural environment, your resources, limitations and management practices.
The second day, on 21 May, will involve A3 aerial imagery and overlays and will be an opportunity to discuss, consider, plan and map the on ground reality of how you want to manage your land into the future and what steps you are going to take to achieve your short and long term property goals?
