Is this Workshop for you?
Whether you are a home gardener or commercial grower, this workshop will give you valuable insights into why you might not be achieving the harvest you want and what you can do about it. Come and learn natural methods to boost the production in your South East Queensland garden through understanding soil health and the conditions which are best for different crops. Benefit from Ian’s experience as an organic grower and his personal experience with different products and growing techniques.
You will learn how to:
- Do a visual soil assessment to know what your soil needs to increase its productivity
- Do your own soil pH test
- Understand which nutrients improve soil productivity and how to create the right growing conditions
- Manage pests before they become a problem
This 3 hour workshop will include:
A visual soil inspection in the Millen Farm garden, a pH test of a sample of soil from your garden plus a presentation on how to improve your harvest using great soil and pest management techniques.
The knowledge you will take away:
Following this workshop, you will understand more about growing your food organically through building soil structure and how to use minerals and other organic compounds to improve yields and manage pests.
In addition, you will meet a lot of other people who share the same passion of growing organic food in abundance.
