What will you learn?
2 huge days of experiential, hands on learning. We are going to learn how to find and then increase the microbes which make humus rich soil. You will learn how to make 2 different types of breeding ground for beneficial aerobic soil microbes: those good guys that supress pests, weeds and disease, the ones which produce humus ( the storage place for water and plant available minerals in the soil) the ones that build the all important crumb structure and keep your soil PH neutral without lime. We’ll cover how to apply these organisms to your soil and the 5 soil health principals which will help them multiply. We will look at earth works for water harvesting, mob grazing and will make compost extract and tea. We will assess that tea under the microscope. Much of the course is based on the teachings of Dr Elaine Ingham plus several other very useful luminaries on the topic of soil regeneration. See our trials with compost extracts and our big worm farms and thermo composting yard.
Who is this Workshop for?
For growers looking for the nuts and bolts of how to move into sustainable agriculture and team with microbes. Those trained in horticulture, agronomy etc will have more to unlearn before they can learn,we bust a lot of myths during these workshops.
