Grazing planning workshop: two days training with Dick Richardson

February 24 @ 9:00 am - February 25 @ 5:00 pm

What will you learn?

Grazing naturally means changing management actions to adapt to emerging conditions while improving production and building resilience.

Also: How grasses build soil depth and fix carbon, balancing grazing with grass recovery, weed management with grazing, improving animal performance and production, balancing minerals in soil and grass and the online livestock management software MAIA Grazing Platform (free 3-month trial).

The Kangaroo Island Natural Resources Board would like to invite 12 graziers who are keen to transition to this approach, or who have already started the journey having attended the introductory course in 2018, to participate in the training and mentorship program.

The Board will cover the cost (other than a small deposit to secure your place*) of the Grazing Planning Workshop and the Advanced Implementation Workshop (about 6 months later). The Board will also subsidise the cost of a 12 month Support Program of your choice. For more information visit web page click here or contact the KI Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator Ph: 08 8553 4441 email: [email protected]

Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided on both days and everyone is invited to a BBQ on the first evening. Please bring your own water containers which can be refilled throughout the day.

General Admission – A$75.00 (Sales start on 1 Jan 2020)

Tickets limited to 12, if all early-bird tickets are sold general admission will not go on sale
