David Tongway was mentored by CSIRO methodology which defined a unique landscape system which differed from a neighbouring system. All land surfaces are linked by hydrology. There are 6 basic questions to ask when assessing the effect of rainfall.

David has a special interest in the application of soil chemistry, physics and biology to solving environmental problems.
His careful, thorough study of land-scape function has led to the development of techniques for regenerating degraded landscapes and restoring the vital functions of soil-plant ecosystems to re-establish healthy perennial grasslands. He will share this knowledge with conference participants.
