Colin Seis, pioneer and the champion in Pasture Cropping in Australia, visits a Farming Secrets Member, Fraser Pogue from Ardmona to help him in managing the farm with fewer inputs and to fine tune his steps into cover cropping.
In this clip, Colin advises Fraser to keep the cover crops to establish good soil structure that will address your farming issues.
Using a penetrometer they also look at the soil compaction, 300psi is a good indication of soil structure and higher than 600psi is not good.
